In the West, our modern lifestyle forces many of us to keep going and going without stopping. This often limits our perspective on life and what’s possible. It restricts you from enjoying the rich moments of life.

Here’s a useful metaphor. Imagine that you find yourself in chaotic downtown Hong Kong. You’re dodging traffic just to stay alive. For many of us, that’s a good reflection of the chaos in our own minds.

Meditation lifts you up and out of the chaos – above the narrow-minded tunnel vision of a fast-paced, relentless life. It allows you to enjoy a broader perspective on the world and relish the rich moments of your everyday life.

Next Steps:

Consider how you would like meditation to free up your thoughts or emotions. Visualize being lifted out of the chaos of your life and reconnecting with the richness of what you most love.
