Try Eraser Visualization to Clear Your Mind

clear your mind

Here’s a simple way to clear your mind, and help you become more centered and mindful.

Our brains are constantly receiving images from external input. And we also produce internal images that can be interpreted by our minds just as clearly as outside influences. Take a quick moment each day to clear your mind of any distractions, stress or negative thoughts.

Clear Your Mind with an Eraser!

Use this quick visualization from the Online Meditation Center to clear your mind and erase stress:

Sit or lie in a comfortable position.

Breathe slowly and deeply.

Visualize a situation, a person, or even a belief (e.g. “I’m scared to ask for my rights”) that causes you to feel anxious and fearful.

As you do this you might see the specific person, actual place, or some shapes and colors.

Where do you see this stressful picture? Is it in front of you, below you, to the side? What does it look like?

Now imagine that a large eraser, like the ones used to clear chalk boards in schools, has just appeared in your hand.

Feel and see the eraser in your hand.

Start rubbing the eraser over the stressful picture that has appeared in your mind.

The picture fades, shrinks, and finally disappears.

When you see no more stressful pictures, just continue breathing for a minute, slowly and deeply.

This eraser visualization will help you clear your mind, wipe away the stresses of the day, and allow intuitive messages to come through more clearly.
