What is Mindfulness?
[It’s] the awareness that arises through paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgementally.
BIO: Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD, is internationally known for his work as a scientist, writer, and mindfulness meditation teacher. He is engaged in bringing mindfulness practices, especially mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), into the mainstream of medicine and society. He is professor of medicine emeritus at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He was the founding executive director of the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society. And in 1979, he founded the world-renowned Stress Reduction Clinic at UMASS.
