There are hundreds of different meditation techniques. In this course you will learn a silent meditation technique using the vibration of a mantra. This happens to be my favorite style of meditation.
As you explore different types of meditation, you’ll likely be drawn to a style that feels most comfortable and resonates with you.
What is a mantra?
A mantra is an instrument of the mind. It is a sound or vibration, which may or may not have meaning.
Why should I use a mantra?
A mantra is a powerful tool to help move beyond the activity of the mind. It help you access small spaces of silence between each thought.
Sometimes it may seem as if all of your thoughts are happening at once. They are not. Between every thought there is a space. This space is where infinite possibilities and pure creative potential live.
Meditation expands the space between thoughts. As you become regular with your meditation practice, you bring all of these possibilities and pure potentiality into your life.
Can I listen to music while meditating?
For this mantra meditation technique, I do not recommend listening to music or soft sounds of nature.
Meditation is an inward journey of the senses. You spend so much of your life using the senses to process the external world.
Use this time in meditation to sit comfortably, close your eyes, turn the senses inward and enjoy the silent vibration of the mantra inside your mind.
Meditation is not a way of making your mind quiet. It is a way of entering into the quiet that is already there – buried under the 50,000 thoughts the average person thinks every day. – Deepak Chopra
