Roseanne Barr on Meditation

Roseanne Barr, Emmy Award-winning comedian and actress, is hardly the first person you’d think of when considering celebrities who meditate. Despite her reputation for crass humor and political incorrectness, Barr co-hosted a women’s spirituality and meditation weekend last year with her sister, Geraldine.

Roseanne started meditating about 17 years ago and now lives and works on a macadamia nut farm that she bought five years ago with her musician boyfriend. Read more on Roseanne meditating and her meditation retreat at the Jerusalem Post.

See the following interview with Roseanne, and her answers to questions about health and meditation.

It really helps me to clean up my own mind and, like, you know get real sure of what it is I actually want. And be real, real sure of what it is I want. First of all, everyone should be sure of that. “What’s the most important thing?” Everyone should ask themselves that, every minute. What is the most important thing? And meditation helps you to figure out what that is.
